Situated in a disused tractor shop on the main street of Kimba. The large shed is filled with shipping containers that are home to A range of local handmade goods including candles, pottery and soaps, health foods, vintage wares etc.

In 2017 artist Cam Scale painted the Kimba Viterra Silos. The mural depicts a young girl standing in a wheat field and is 60m wide and 25m high. It is amazing to see in the daylight, at sunset or sunrise but is breath taking at night when it is lit up by the solar lighting.

 

Roora Reserve Nature Trail

Whites Knob & the Edward John Eyre & Indigenous Tracker Sculptures

Walk the 2km Roora reserve nature trail which leads to whites knob, the trail

is easy walking and features sculptures of animals made out of recycled steel.
Take in the views of the surrounding countryside at the Whites Knob lookout

and you will also find the sculptures of Edward John Eyre and The Aboriginal
Tracker.

 

Historical Museum

Established with the aim to preserve the history of the Kimba District, the

historical museum has 17 buildings including The government shed settlers home,

a one teacher school, the pioneer house, the pioneer store and many other buildings
housing historical items, machinery and engines etc. open Tuesday – Friday
9am-12pm or by appointment 0429 163 906 or 86272684

 

Kimba Friendly grocer and newsagency

This shop provides general groceries, office supplies, newspapers, magazines books
etc. but the biggest surprise is the huge range of kids toys, there is a separate room

dedicated to them.

The Kimba Gateway Hotel is a great pub with friendly staff and a warm atmosphere.

They serve classic pub meals as well as a variety of other options including some great

specials. Wednesday night is Schnitzel night and kids eat free on Sundays!

Not only does this hotel serve great food & drinks, the building itself and décor is
worth having a look at.

the Café from 6.30am Monday to Friday. Also offering a large variety of takeaway food.

Bouncy Pillow, All Abilities Play Ground, Lions/Apex Park

You can find the bouncy pillow along with the all abilities playground at 33 Park
Terrace in the Lions/Apex Park. Officially opened in October 2019, this is a very

popular place for people of all ages. It includes seating, BBQ facilities, accessible

facilities, toilets, a picnic area and shelter.

 

The Big Galah Bakery, souvenir shop, fuel station

& Laundromat

The Big Galah stands 8m tall in front of the Halfway Across Australia sign- a

great photo opportunity. The shop has had some recent upgrades and has lots

to offer. Souvenirs, fuel, Laundromat.

 

Kimba IGA - Click & collect or home delivery

Now offer online shopping at www.kimbaiga.com.au with the option to click
and collect or home delivery. This is quite a large shop for a small town with
a variety of fresh fruit and vegetables and general groceries but best of all
the staff are very friendly

Fresh Indian curries are prepared on site with a choice of garlic or plain Nan

and pappadums as accompaniments. Vegetarian or vegan curries and other Indian
dishes can be cooked to suit customers and special orders are welcome. Other
dining room meals are available also. We highly recommend trying these curries!

coffee, and select food. The Little Coffee Pot can be found in various places around

Kimba, it is often in front of Workshop 26, but check out their Facebook &
